Manufacture of wine from grape

This company, with registered office address in Quintanilla de Onesimo, Spain, operates a winery involved in producing wines. Peter Sisseck, who had already made a name for himself as winemaker at Hacienda Monasterio, founded the company in 1995. The company's flagship wine, Pingus, is considered a cult wine. It produces a second wine, Flor de Pingus, and a special cuvée, Ribera del Duero Amelia. The company also works in collaboration with local grape producers to make an old vine tempranillo called PSI. The company's vineyards consist of three parcels of old, head-pruned tempranillo vines. Yields range from a high of 20 to an incredibly low nine hl/ha. The production of the second wine Flor de Pingus, also 100 percent tempranillo, is made with fruit from rented vineyards in the La Horra zone. The single barrel cuvée, Ribera del Duero "Amelia" is made from a vineyard parcel of 100 year old vines with an average yield of 10 hL per hectare.
